Introduction to Shakthi Powers
What is a Shakthi Power?
Shakthi is the female principle of divine energy. It also means: “power, ability, strength, might, effort, energy, capability.” It is the primordial cosmic energy and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe.
Shakthi most actively manifests herself through female embodiment and creativity/fertility, though it is also present in males in its potential, unmanifest form. Shakthi is both responsible for creation and the agent of all change. Shakti is cosmic existence as well as liberation; its most significant form is the Kundalini Shakthi, a mysterious psychospiritual force.
Shakthi Powers are derived from the Chakras and influenced by Divine Feminine Wisdom from the 13 Moon Mystery School.
The goal of invoking the Shakthi Powers within you is to support you in becoming the most powerful version of yourself, in embodying your True Self and Your Divine Light. You are a force to be reckoned with and it’s time that you step into and own your power.
As you invoke the Shakthi Power of the month, it will support you in tuning into your True Self and creating from there.
What is a Chakra?
Chakras are spinning vortices in the body that are activated and strengthened as you work with them and invoke them. Contrary to some popular beliefs, they are not physically detectable although they are related to specific organs and also glands in the endocrine system. They are the basis of the Indian approach to healing our physical, mental and spiritual selves.
The endocrine system is a main physical control mechanism of the body comprised of ductless glands that release hormones like adrenaline, insulin, estrogen and progesterone which then interact with the autonomic nervous system to regulate the body and create optimum health. Working with Chakras facilitates healing of key parts of the endocrine and nervous system.
In the central nervous system, we have the spine and the corollary in our energetic system is the Sushumna, a vertical column that emanates from and around the spine and runs up the body. The 7 Chakras are located inside of the Sushumna.
The brain communicates messages to the body through the spine. Likewise, the Sushumna moves universal energy back and forth between the Root Chakra at the base of the spine to the Crown Chakra at the top of the head. The journey of energy up the Chakras is often referred to as Kundalini Rising, the serpent Goddess rising.
Many of you may have heard that there are 7 Chakras. Those Chakras are the basic ones in the sushumna as described above. There are also 5 Chakras which are outside of the Sushumna, and there are different interpretations and thoughts as to what those Chakras do, where they are and what they are called. I’ll be sharing my interpretation of those with you.
As we move through each Shakthi Power and the related Chakra, I will share the particular physical impact of working with that Chakra. Finding God within, finding and amplifying your light is the ultimate goal of working with the Chakras through the Shakthi Powers.
